The Bushman Experience
The oldest surviving inhabitants of Botswana, and one of man’s oldest surviving ancestors are the Khoisan people better known as the Bushmen.
A few surviving members of this ethnic group are still to be found in the Kalahari and in particular in the vicinity of Bokamoso Farm
The Khoisan tongues are sometimes called the ‘click’ language. An example is the !Xoo tongue with five basic clicks and seventeen accompanying clicks integrated into the language making it the most complex sounding language in the world.
Three days spent walking on the farm will afford guests the experience of a lifetime as they observe bushman displaying their tracking, hunting and trapping skills. The collection of plants, berries, tubers, insects, for food, medicine and poison will also be demonstrated together with fire making and much more.
A night under the stars watching bushman dance in the firelight is an experience which will remain etched in one’s memory forever.
